Bookings may require a deposit or payment authorization. Specific payment terms, cancellation policies, and other conditions will be outlined in your confirmation or a separate agreement. You are responsible for carefully reviewing your estimate and confirmation and notifying us right away of any mistakes or changes.

3. Your Responsibilities as a Customer

You agree to:

  • Make sure your items are properly packed and ready for transport, unless you have specifically booked packing services with us.
  • Provide safe and clear access to both pickup and delivery locations — including elevators, parking spots, stairways, and any required building permissions or permits.
  • Let us know ahead of time about any fragile, valuable, oversized, or specially handled items.
  • Follow all relevant laws, regulations, and building rules related to your move.
  • Confirm that you either own the items being moved or have full legal permission from the owner to have them transported.

4. Items We Cannot Move

We reserve the right to refuse to transport certain items, including but not limited to:

  • Hazardous, flammable, explosive, or chemical materials
  • Illegal substances or items prohibited by law
  • Perishable foods, live animals, or plants (unless we have explicitly agreed in writing)

If prohibited items are included without our knowledge, you will be fully responsible for any resulting damages, fines, or penalties.

5. Payment Terms

Payment terms are explained in your estimate or booking confirmation. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a deposit is typically required before your move, with the remaining balance due once the job is completed.

We may charge extra for any services or conditions not included in your original quote — for example, additional labor, extra stops, waiting time, long carries, stair carries, or changes to your inventory.

If payment is not received when due, we may charge late fees and, where allowed by law, refuse to release your belongings until the full amount is paid.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Cancellations and rescheduling are subject to the notice periods and fees outlined in your estimate, confirmation, or our cancellation policy.

Last-minute cancellations or changes may result in the loss of your deposit or additional charges to cover our costs.

We may cancel or reschedule a move due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (such as severe weather, unsafe conditions, or truck breakdowns). If that happens, we will notify you as soon as possible and work with you to find a suitable alternative.

7. Liability for Loss or Damage

Our liability for lost or damaged items is limited as allowed by applicable law and any specific terms in your estimate or bill of lading.

You must inspect your items upon delivery and note any visible damage on the delivery paperwork. For hidden damage, you must notify us in writing within the time period stated in your documentation.

Our liability may be further limited based on the valuation option you select. Additional protection options may be available for an extra fee. We are not liable for damage caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of nature, extreme weather, or pre-existing issues with your items.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — including lost profits, data, or business opportunities.
  • Our total liability under these Terms or for any Service shall not exceed the amount you actually paid to AM-PM Movers for the specific move or service that led to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

9. Intellectual Property
